Alcohol Safety and Treatment Program

Following a license suspension for DUI in West Virginia, both resident and non-resident drivers are required to satisfy the requirements for reinstatement of either a license (residents) or driving privileges (non-residents). The requirements normally include payment of all court costs and fines to the court in which your DUI conviction occurred, payment of a reinstatement fee to the DMV, and completion of the alcohol safety and treatment program. Enhanced DUI offenses (2nd offense, 3rd offense, etc.) also require driver to participate in the interlock program, while such participation is voluntary for first time DUI offenders.

The West Virginia DUI safety and treatment program is offered at certain licensed facilities throughout the state. These alcohol education classes focus on the legal and social problems associated with alcohol use and are designed to provide information that should assist drivers in making responsible choices regarding use in the future so they may avoid further legal problems.

Below is a listing of the facilities that offer the DUI classes and the counties served by each facility. Some counties have more than one facility available for classes.

Need Your License Reinstated?

For many who have lost their West Virginia driver's license or their non-resident driving privileges, the road to reinstatement is traveled without the benefit of an attorney's assistance. The staff of La Neve Law Offices has always ensured that our clients know we are here for them at every stage of the case until this difficult chapter of their life is fully closed.

It can make all the difference when you still have an attorney helping you understand what steps have to be taken, how to get from one step to the next, and ensuring that no unexpected twists prevent you from meeting the reinstatement requirements in the time frame that it should take. It is especially beneficial, when those unexpected situations arise, to have an experienced DUI attorney ready to help set things right.

If you are working towards reinstatement of your license or driving privilege, but don't have the benefit of a team of experienced professionals helping ensure the process is as smooth and efficient as it can be, call West Virginia DUI defense attorney Todd La Neve and his team. We are happy to offer our services to ensure you get your license back in the quickest and easiest manner possible.
